This Edwardian semi-detached family home was bought with repair and refurbishment in mind. MDA was approached to increase the living space, redesign the kitchen, add more bedrooms and a separate study, all with energy efficient fabric and renewable energy features . The solution was to create an open plan ground floor extension, general renovation and loft extension with the main bedroom, en-suite and dressing area. As well as the renovating works using natural and durable materials, the works included the installation of solar panels to reduce electricity used by the hot water storage tank.
